Undergraduate Program and General Dean’s Office Support
Two positions available

Undergraduate Program Support
Provide general secretarial support for chairs and directors of designated programs, including routine and discreet correspondence.
Assist chairs and directors of designated programs in curriculum planning.
Work with Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs regarding curriculum planning and staffing.
Prepare schedule builders (class schedules).
Work with Assistant Director for Administration at Lang regarding classroom assignments.
Provide general assistance to faculty and students in designated programs.

Oversee enrollment numbers for curriculum planning.
Assist in preparation of new majors emerging from the faculty in assigned programs.
Solicit and review syllabi each semester.
Maintain, track and monitor undergraduate senior capstones for students.

Request room assignments for special events, make-up courses, and departmental meetings.
Oversee all aspects of event planning for designated programs, including facilities requests, catering, AV, and travel/accommodations and/or payment arrangements.
Onsite supervision of sponsored events when necessary. Note that these may necessitate presence on some evenings and weekends.

Maintain website listings for faculty profiles, events, courses, etc., for designated programs.
Support new and existing study abroad programs, including travel arrangements, application and pre-departure information, assistance with budgets and payments and program evaluation.
Liaison to Records office, Registration, and other offices.

Dean’s Office Support
Responsibilities will include assigned duties from the following:
Handle incoming phone calls and walk-in traffic.
Maintain kitchen area.
Process facilities and IT requests.
Maintain the faculty and staff office information directories
Coordinate weekly calendar of events on the website and the email listserv
Communicate with Communication and External Affairs to disseminate Lang College events
Order and maintain all supplies and equipment of the Dean’s Office and Faculty Resource Room
Order copy paper, network printer ink, and supplies.
Distribute mail.
Maintain copy machine, fax machine, and network printer in dean’s office and Faculty Resource Room.
Produce and distribute informational material to faculty, staff, and students
Maintain database for faculty course cancellations
Research special projects for the faculty and Dean
Supervise dean’s office work study students
Assist the Deans and Executive Assistant to the Dean as needed
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Minimum two years office experience — B.A. Preferred.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Strong writing and verbal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel spreadsheets.

One position requires work hours from 8 am to 4 pm; one position requires work hours from 9 am to 5 pm
