Japan Society SNS Project Research Assistant – Programming
Japan Society seeks a Research Assistant to do coding to update and customize a Moodle for a social networking project, Going Global (http:goingglobalsns.org), linking secondary students in the United States, Japan and Pakistan. The assistantship will begin as soon as possible and conclude in December. It is anticipated to take 40-60 hours at a rate of $25/hour. The Research Assistant will be expected to work closely with the UI Design Research Assistant to complete the project both at Japan Society and working remotely, in consultation with Education Program staff and in consultation with advisory committee including Parsons Faculty. Japan Society seeks a Research Assistant to update the design of the user interface of a Moodle for a social networking project, Going Global (http:goingglobalsns.org), linking secondary students in the United States, Japan and Pakistan. The assistantship will begin as soon as possible and conclude in December, with strongest demand in September. It is anticipated to take 20-35 hours at a rate of $20/hour. The Research Assistant will be expected to work closely with the Programming Research Assistant to complete the project both at Japan Society and working remotely, in consultation with Education Program staff and in consultation with advisory committee including Parsons Faculty. Coursework or professional experience with social networking design strongly desired and a portfolio of past work or samples is required.
