Maya Part 1 – Jessie
Modeling, Texturing and Rendering in Maya
1. Learn the core modeling toolkit, transform cubes and sphere to anything you can imagine.
2. Texture your objects with toon shaders, custom textures, bump maps, and normal maps.
3. Create custom renders of your objects for 3D prototype documentation or short animated films.
Required: Maya (student version is fine), photoshop, and a mouse.
Not required but useful: Drawing tablet.

AWS… Amazon Web Server. Create and manage your own server via the Amazon Web Server service. Attending this Dorkshop will teach you the following:
1) Setting up your own AWS using Amazon Elastic Cloud . Amazon Elastic
Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easier for developers.
2) Installing Apache web server and MySQL on your AWS
3) Accessing your server via SSH and FTP
4) Installing and configuring Node.js on your server.
All you need is your laptop.

Maya Part 2 – Jessie
Rigging and Animation in Maya
1. Learn the basic concepts of rigging:
proper bone setup
ik versus fk
constraints
parent and child space
setup of animation controls
set driven keys
painting skin weights
if time permits: how to use the connection editor and hypershade
2. How to animate your brand new rig. Animation concepts apply to animating ANY object/attribute in Maya.
Required: Maya (student version is fine), mouse.
Not required but useful: Drawing tablet.
