You are invited to join us for this free panel discussion on October 18 at SVA organized by The Robert Giard Foundation and inspired by topics in this summer’s release of Studies in Gender and Sexuality: Psychoanalysis Cultural Studies Practice Research, Volume 15 Issue #2, which focused on Robert Giard’s work with the nude and the self in photography.

James Saslow, professor of art history at CUNY and trustee of the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art.
Julia Van Haaften, founding curator of the New York Public Library’s Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints and Photographs.
