Summer Opportunities at The Institute of Play

The Institute of Play, a non-profit game design studio and learning lab, seeks dynamic, creative and tech-savvy game designers, programmers, visual designers, mobile specialists, creative artists and youth advocates as teachers, mentors and visiting instructors for its 2011 summer enrichment projects.

PROJECT SNAPSHOTS
Mobile Quest, where 5th graders explore design fundamentals, team work and location-based games using smartphones.
Project Dates: Monday, July 25–Friday July, 29, 2011. July 25–July28, 9a-1pm, July 29, 9a–3pm.

Design, Art, Code Camp, where 7th and 8th graders take a deep dive into the world of bits and pixels— discovering programming languages, visual design and graphics.
Project Dates: Monday, July 25–Friday July, 29, 201, 2pm-6pm.

CLICK@MoMA, is a digital media work shop for teens created in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art’s “In the Making” series. From Tuesday, July 19–Thursday, July 21, the work shop will focus on art, writing and programming for games. Visiting instructors are sought to teach several of these work shops during the course of the week.
