alexanderwang ALEXANDER WANG, INC. seeks a talented and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join its dynamic visual team for the 2013 summer semester. The Graphic Design Intern will assist the team by working under the direction of the Sr. Designer on brand creative, collateral and communications — as well as on special projects. The visual team is small and the environment is fast-paced. For those who are ambitious and skilled, this position will allow for the opportunity take on additional responsibilities and to do hands-on design work on projects that reach the eyes of thousands of people world-wide. Candidates must possess strong layout and typography skills, high attention to detail, excellent proficiency in InDesign, and an interest in Art, Fashion, Design and popular culture.

ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the preparation, production and design of:  Brand Imagery, Global Digital/Print Collateral, Web Design Layout, Design/Art Direction Inspiration Sourcing/Research. Additional opportunities:  photo-shoot assistance, video editing and various special projects.

KNOWLEDGE / BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

– Ability to receive academic credit.

– Must be a 3rd or 4th year Graphic Design major with excellent software proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop.

– Strong layout and typography skills, with great attention to detail.

– Electronic Graphic Design portfolio required (PDF preferred.)

– Strong organizational skills, ability to learn quickly, retain processes and work independently.

– Prior internship experience is preferred.

**** we need to also aim for filling a full-time (or 4 day) position. I think we can aim for 3rd and 4th year students.
