The South Street Seaport Museum is looking for volunteers to help with the clean up.
In this case, it is to help clean metal type at Bowne & Co., Stationers which was seriously damaged by the surge.
Efforts to dry the type and keep it from deforming are hindered by the lack of power downtown.

They are looking for volunteers on Weds and Thursday from 12-5 and Friday from 2:30 to 5.
