Socrates Sculpture Park Seeking Image Proposals For 2017 Broadway Billboard Series

Socrates Sculpture Park invites artists of all levels to submit image proposals on the topic of democracy and American identity for the 2017 Broadway Billboard series.
This call asks proposals to address ideas of the public, citizenship, collectivism, identity, and democratic freedoms. Proposals should consider the unique elements of the site and billboard location—a public park, a space of advertising, New York City, and the diverse borough of Queens.
Proposals are due April 15th, and must include:
(1) your proposed image*, proportional to a 10’ x 28’ billboard
(2) a brief description or artist statement (250 words or less)
(3) creator bio and/or CV
*the image must be an original work by the applicant.
