Showtime Networks is looking to hire a Junior Designer!

Under the direction of an art director or senior art director, this position is responsible for the design and production of on-air projects in response to company’s strategic goals. The Junior Broadcast Designer assists designers and art directors with their projects and manages independent projects.

Specifically, you will:
-Work collaboratively to conceptualize, design, and produce a wide range of on-air projects.  The range of projects include promotional packages, image campaigns, and series launches.
-Act as general production support for the on-air design department; providing assistance to Creative Directors, Art Directors and Designers.
-Supervise animators on a project-by-project basis.
-Stay connected to the broadcast industry and help the department identify prospective vendors and freelancers.
-Stay abreast of emerging computer software and technical application, computer troubleshooting, and design industry trends.

To qualify, you should have:
-Experience in the broadcast design field.
-Proven graphic design skills with a strong sensibility for typography and composition.
-Specific video production skills including supervising on-line editing and graphic compositing sessions.
-Macintosh software knowledge includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut and After Effects.
-Excellent grasp of “good’ design and ability to push the creative, while at the same time, keeping the “look” of the network and the objectives and strategic goals in mind.
-Effective supervisory, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
-Ability to work well in a team situation with peers and with clients.
-Ability to work effectively under pressure and juggle many different stages of development.
-Proactive thinking, always taking the initiative to anticipate needs and coordinate with other team members rather than waiting for direction.
-Strong organizational skills.
