Research Assistantship with Johanne Woodcock, Artist and Interior Designer to Design Alternative Decoration Website

Project: Design, develop and implement blog/wiki for Decoration as Composition Website, a catalog of alternative compositions of decoration. Starting from scratch, this is an opportunity to design a database, and web site design for a new site that curates images on decoration. The dynamic presentation and flexibility of the site to grow, is paramount.

Activities: Database Design and Website Design (depending on your skill set)

There are two jobs.
1. Design the database, content management of the project.
2. Design the graphic presentation of the site.

To begin the site will be organized around 40 images that will be displayed in 5 categories, each with 2 subcategories. Each image will require a brief descriptive text, source information and credits. The website must be designed with the expectation of increasing the number of categories and delivery methods in the future. (Streaming video)

Schedule: two to four fulltime weeks of work to be completed in June 2010.

This position is funded at $2,000.
