Good Housekeeping is seeking an enthusiastic intern in the photo department for the fall 2015 semester. Candidates must be detail oriented, digitally proficient, organized, have a strong interest in photography, and a positive attitude. Interns will learn about the daily activities of a large-scale magazine. This includes publishing, photo editing, photo research, and photo shoots (and much more). Interns will be primarily working on set with the staff photographer assisting on photo shoots of food, products, interiors and more.  Candidates must be able to receive college credit.

Necessary Skills:

• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
• Basic knowledge of Capture One
• Applicant should have completed at least one semester of studio lighting

Duties include:

• Assisting with lighting and set building
• Sourcing props and materials for photo shoots
• File management from capture to export
• Administrative work (copies, faxing, sending messengers)
