Seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support for the senior administration of SIA-NY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, prepare and edit information for reports
  • Assist with coordination of accreditation procedures, documents and site visit logistics
  • Coordinate planning for special events including meetings, receptions
  • Provide office management functions including back-up coverage for reception desk, maintain office supply inventory, select and supervise Graduate Assistants
  • Manage internal communications, staff intranet, faculty/staff contact information
  • Handle payment processes and expense reports Education and Experience
  • BA/BS and min 2 years substantial administrative experience
  • Experience in higher education setting, interest in higher education management preferred
  • Familiarity with visual arts and art organizations highly desirable

Seeking a Director for our Summer Study program in New York. The position begins April 1 and runs through early August, 2015 but is open for potential continuation or renewal.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Oversee and provide hands-on, day-to-day management for the program
  • Provide information, guidance and support for faculty members, reviewing and approving final course syllabi
  • Oversee and manage course enrollment, schedules and logistics for over 100 site visits, guest lectures and special events
  • Supervise, support and evaluate program staff
  • Manage program budgets
  • Evaluate outcomes, analyze data and make recommendations for future program development.
  • Education, knowledge, experience in Art History or Art Business preferred
  • Experience teaching, developing courses and planning and managing educational programs
  • Familiarity with New York City and its arts institutions and cultural resources
  • Highly effective administrative, organizational and communication skills, including public speaking
