Chelsea Arts for All (CAFA), a new not-for-profit organization that is part of The 727 Building located in Chelsea. As a new generation community oriented arts hub committed to discovering and nurturing emerging artists, CAFA houses a breadth of ideas and mediums spanning from photography to fine arts to musical performances. We believe that our environment of bringing different genres together will create positive synergy in reaching a wider audience and initiating an interdisciplinary dialogue.

CAFA is dedicated to serving the arts community by providing a space to create, exhibit, and perform original artwork. In our location will be an Intellistage equipped with speakers for various performing arts, exterior LED Screen, rotating gallery with over 100 feet of wall space, projector screen, and photo studio equipped with the highest technology cameras available for rent.

Our facilities and services are made available for free to all artists who need a space, especially emerging or under-recognized artists who would most benefit from the exposure at our prime location on the crossroads of 6th Avenue and 23rd Street.

Starting July 17, 2014, a 8 x 15 feet LED Screen facing 23rd street will start displaying artworks of various mediums including but not limited to digital media art or photo-documentation of paintings, sculptures, prints, works on paper etc. To have your work displayed, please send images of your work to info@727building.com with the subject line “LED SUBMISSIONS.”

Starting at the end of July 2014, various artwork will be hung on the 4th floor and stairway area of the 727 Building (The space in the images above will be completely cleared out). As home to the private cardiovascular practice “HeartVeinNYC,” serving the community via medical arts as part of the 727 Building Project, the two exhibition spaces exposes artwork to heavy foot traffic that come to the medical practice. To have your work exhibited, please send images of your work to info@727building.com with the subject line “ARTWORK SUBMISSIONS.” Please also attached an annotated image list with the Title, Year, Medium, and Dimensions of the work.

Main Gallery and Performing Space on 1st floor

Currently a hardware store, the first floor of the 727 Building will be renovated into a exhibition and performing space opening in January 2015. This space will include an intellistage equipped with speakers for various performing arts, rotating gallery with over 100 feet of wall space, projector screen, and photo studio equipped with the cameras. All artists that are interested in exhibiting at the first floor venue can e-mail applications to info@727building.com according to the following guidelines.

– Please write “SUBMISSIONS” in the subject line of the email.

– Please attach jpegs or audio files that do not exceed 10 MB combined. If the size of the documentation of your work exceeds 10MB, please send a link that contains the necessary audio/video.

– Files should be labeled as Lastname_Firstname_# (ex: Washington_George_1.jpg  Washington_George_2.mp3)

– Please also attach a statement, resume, and annotated image list including Title, Year, Medium, and Dimensions.
