Internship in Equipment Room of High End Photo Studio (Chelsea)

State of the art photo studio in Manhattan seeks interns for our equipment room. Our expanding photo studio needs highly motivated individuals to work in a fast pace environment. Interaction with clients is key so a social positive attitude is a must.
A great opportunity to obtain knowledge of the following criteria:
– Knowledge of all current lighting and grip equipment
– Knowledge of all current digital capture equipment and software
– Knowledge of current photo equipment and digital trends

Internship position requirements
Basic knowledge of lighting and grip equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self motivated
Able to multi task
Positive attitude
Flexible hours

Main responsibilities:
Delivering equipment to studios throughout the day. Returning equipment at the end of each shoot as well as assembling and dissembling equipment.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Testing cameras, cleaning cameras, changing bulbs for heads, daily maintenance of all photo equipment, assembling Digital Station, painting cycs & walls and frequent inventory of the equipment.

Seeking a Part-time Photo Intern

Editorial, lifestyle photographer is seeking a part time intern for 10 to 15 hours per week. This is a hands on internship, so applicant must have a knowledge and understanding of photography equipment and post production. Interns will have the opportunity to assist the office and on set. Projects will include shoots and retouching for online advertising campaigns, fashion/beauty stories, environmental portraits, and house tours.

Responsibilities will include:
– assisting on set
– picking and dropping off of rental equipment
– setting up lighting equipment
– website and social media upkeep
– general office assisting/organizing
– post production assisting

Qualifications
– must be majoring in photography or have recently graduated with a degree in photography/fine arts
– proficient in Photoshop
– knowledge of studio lighting equipment
– proficiency in Lightroom and InDesign is a major plus
– available 10-15 hours per week for 3-6 months minimum
