Saturday Night Live Intern, NYC

Applicants must be:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Masters program at an accredited college or university
  • 18 years or older
  • Current sophomore standing or above with a strong academic profile
  • Able to provide proof of academic credit from your college or university prior to starting assignment
  • Commit to a minimum of 2-3 days per week either on a part-time or full-time basis

Job duties would consist mostly of photo assisting, setting up photo and lighting equipment, using photoshop, printing, framing, general administrative duties. Some photographing of SNL rehearsals as well!

Photography Collector / Writer Intern, NYC

An established author and art collector seeks an intern, running from mid-September through mid-December 2013. The intern will scan, digitize, and research archival photographic material creating a searchable database of over 4,000 vernacular “found” photographs. The intern will maintain the physical and digital collection; incorporating current materials, researching, tagging, storing, and organizing materials. An interest in photography, art history, and archiving, as well as proficiency with scanning and database applications is desirable. The intern is expected to work one day per week (ideally Tuesday or Wednesday) between 10-5pm in our Chelsea office.

Requirements:

  • Experience in scanning and handling photographs, negatives, chromes.
Photography, archivist, or art history background.
  • Fluency in Mac platform with MS Office and Photoshop.
  • Internet savvy.
  • A strong work ethic combined with a friendly professional manner.
  • Proactive self-starter with a willingness to undertake both large and small projects.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and able to follow procedures accurately.
  • Knowledge of Bento, File Maker Pro, or other database software a plus.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently.

Typical Responsibilities might include:
 Assisting the planning and implementation of a new photographic database.
 Scanning, filing, archiving, image management, inventory, and updating of photographic materials for use in exhibitions, publications, and books.
Basic administrative duties such as filing, copying, and running errands.
 Assisting staff in preparation of new projects.

This position offers hands-on experience with an amazing “found” photography collection.

Academic credit can be arranged for hours spent working. The internship is unpaid, but lunch and a monthly Metro Cards will be provided for the duration of the internship. Editorial Intern at K-MB
 
K-MB is a creative agency based in Berlin and New York. Through creative public relations and strategic brand consulting, we help brands define consumer culture. As a communications agency, we work in an international landscape with fashion, mobility, food/beverage, design, tourism, entertainment, and technology geared clients.

K-MB is seeking knowledgeable, creative, and enthusiastic editorial interns for the New York office. Applicants should be highly organized visual thinkers who are comfortable working efficiently and without much supervision.

Start: Immediately / Term: 6 Months

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous internship experience – editorial preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Word, Facebook, & Vimeo
• Available at least 3 days/week to work out of Nolita office

You will be introduced to the world of branded content through an internship at K-MB. Our primary project in New York is THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES, but tasks will not be limited to this project.
