Since June, Pioneer Works have been exploring how “facts” are constructed, crafted, presented and disseminated in a series called Fact Craft. To celebrate the series’ end, artist Coco Fusco and activist and Parsons First Year Faculty Noah Fischer will discuss the strategies used by activist groups Occupy Museums (a participant in WTF Do We Now?) and GULF/Gulf Labor to consider the ways that art institutions are complicit in systems of power that exploit workers and privilege global economic elites in addition to addressing performances and protests created for the Whitney Biennial, Guggenheim, and MoMA.
