Parsons/Mannes Opera Collab: “Flight”

Parsons students, studying such varied subjects as Product Design, Strategic Design Management, Architectural Design, Illustration, Fashion Design, Dramatic Arts, Integrated Design and Interior Design have come together in this collab to produce costumes, props, set pieces and promo materials for the latest Mannes Opera production of “Flight”. See some of their concepts below, and then save the date to see their designs in action!

The Mannes School of Music and Parsons School of Design co-present the New York City premiere of Flight, by composer Jonathan Dove.Under the direction of Artistic Director Joseph Colaneri, music students and the Mannes Orchestra will perform the three-act opera, in a fully-staged production. Parsons faculty members Alla Eizenberg and John Jerard are leading their students incollaborating with Mannes Opera design team Roger Hanna (sets), Helen E. Rodgers (costumes), Jeff Davis (lighting), and Amanda Miller (wigs and makeup).

This event is part of Parsons Festival 2015.
