Parsons MFA Design and Technology and Cornell Tech students teamed up to take on a real world problem at Google, an experience that began to look at how design is embedded throughout every stage of production and goes beyond just aesthetic factors.

The project involved revamping the customer service machine learning interfaces by changing the way data is collected and displayed, resulting in a new program that analyzes customer satisfaction in real time and removes the end-of-call survey altogether. Students of the tech and design departments collaborated using actual data from Google and sat in on meetings in order to conceptualize and execute the project.

They recently won a $5,000 prize at an MIT Hackathon.
