Team Tattly is seeking a design intern to join our team for the summer of 2013. An ideal candidate would be a student or a recent graduate, a quick learner and a hustler, and a team player who is also willing to do as many temporary tattoos as humanly possible.

The internship is full-time for ten weeks (dates flexible) and is paid. (Please note, you *must* be legally allowed to work in the US!)

You would be working closely with the Design Lead in executing tasks such as:
* Preparing imagery, newsletters, and site updates for our weekly product launches.
* Preflighting our collection of tattoo designs in preparation for print by our tattoo manufacturer.

There are also many opportunities for side projects during the internship, some of which you may take ownership of and oversee its completion over the course of the summer. We also highly encourage everyone on our team to model tattoos for our product photography.

Required skills:
* Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign.
* Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
* Ability to work in a Mac-only environment.

Pluses:
* Experience in packaging up digital templates and files to be made into prints, stamps, boxes, and other physical objects.
* Familiarity with platforms such as Dropbox, Shopify, and Teuxdeux.

The ideal candidate would be joining us for the experience of working in an exciting, friendly startup environment in the amazing Studiomates space. You would be working with a team of bright, thoughtful, forward-thinking people and eating lunches with entrepreneurs, designers, developers, and general trailblazers of the internet world. We have our own café and our own bar. We drink beer on Fridays. We also have snacks. Lots of snacks.

Here’s a story for you:
One time, when Team Tattly was exhibiting at a gift show, a woman in the booth across from us asked us what our “secret” was to being so chipper all the time. We realized later that she was asking us for drugs. If this sort of positive attitude happens to you naturally (it does for us), then you’d be a great fit. We are a happy bunch and we love working at Tattly. We are proud of the fact that our product makes people smile.

If this job description gets you excited, we’d love to hear from you. Please shoot an email tohireme@tattly.com with a brief self-introduction, a link to your portfolio, and your best joke.

Be sure to include “Tattly design internship” in the subject line so we know that you’ve read the entirety of this job description.

Yay!
