The Vera List Center for Art and Politics is looking for a student in fashion design with exceptional sewing, communications & graphic design skills to assist performance artist Larry Krone in advance of his benefit performance for the House of Larréon at Joe’s Pub on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
The student will assist Krone in various aspects of the preparation of the benefit, in particular:
- Sewing of accoutrements for the benefit, including fanny packs and fabric book marks, featuring the House of Larréon label
- Text and lay-out of benefit invitations and related communication.
Requirements
Undergraduate or graduate student with extensive experience in hand and machine sewing who can work independently , has excellent writing skills, is eager to take initiative, and ready to plunge into one of the coolest performance events in New York City this spring.
Hours
8-10 hours/week starting immediately
10-15 hours/week mid-March to April 14

$12/hr

About Larry Krone
Krone is a legendary downtown performance artist, with a huge following in the faux country-music scene and numerous one-person exhibitions to his name, among them at The New Museum, the Whitney Museum (at Philip Morris), the Contemporary Art Museum, Saint Louis , and others. He has performed at Joe’s Pub, La Mama, Dixon Place, PS 122, Starlight Bar & Lounge, and numerous other places.
