Allow me to introduce you to WISE (Women in Sports and Events), the leading voice and resource for professional women in the business of sports. Through ongoing meetings, special events and mentoring programs, WISE offers its members the opportunity to gain valuable insights and connections that can provide them a competitive advantage in their current position and as they advance in their careers. The organization strives to be the definitive source for businesswomen seeking information about issues, challenges and opportunities impacting all stages of their career – from entry level to senior management and those in transition.

The WISE NYC Metro Chapter is seeking one or two photography students who would be interested in photographing monthly panel discussions and social events – either on a volunteer or internship basis. These gatherings present not only the opportunity to develop event coverage shots for their portfolios, but also to meet and network with top professionals in the sports and event fields, who could prove to be invaluable contacts as they build their careers.

Responsibilities would include covering one or two events in either mornings or afternoons each month and providing professional quality line-up and action shots within a few hours of the event for dissemination to the press and posting to social media sites.  In addition, any photographs forwarded to external media organizations will include the photographer’s by-line.

Please let me know if there are any individuals in your photography program that you would recommend for this task or if there is anything else you require from WISE in order to disseminate this opportunity to you student body. I can be reached via this e-mail address or at (201) 259-0564.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Sincerely,

Van Adams, President WISE NYC Metro
