The Office of the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs seeks an Office Assistant II who will be responsible for the reception areas, provide clerical support to International Student Services, serve the international student population, and respond effectively to faculty and staff. This is a full-time, union clerical position and reports to the Assistant Director (Support Staff and Programming) of International Student Services.

Responsibilities:
Clerical/Administrative
Handling general in-person student inquires as well as answering high volumes of phone, voicemail and email requests.
Providing specific and general information about ISS services and referring students to ISS advisors or appropriate offices where necessary.
Scheduling appointments in FSA Atlas and traffic management of visitors, email, & phone calls.
Opening mail, handling filing, photocopying, distributing flyers, processing forms, keeping information racks filled.
Navigating files, Banner, and FSA Atlas and locating information as needed.
Operating basic office equipment (fax, photocopy machine, shredder, computer, etc.).
Working closely with support staff to ensure efficient office systems.
Participating in weekly staff meetings with eye to improving services.
Assisting with other duties as assigned by International Student Services administrators.

Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent customer-service skills-minimum one year customer service and clerical experience preferred.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Must possess excellent communication skills: interpersonal, written and verbal.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Windows-based environment including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.), GroupWise, fsaAtlas, Banner, SEVIS, Google and the Internet
Experience working independently and handling multiple tasks with accuracy and speed.
Experience in a culturally diverse environment.
