Katherine Moriwaki (Director, MFADT)  & Saman Tehrani (MFADT class of 2016), with additional fabrication assistance by Jessie Contour (MFADT class of 2016), create “Patchwork” – a project that acts as an evolving artifact using a quilting metaphor to create ambient displays. Participants are invited to build squares of the quilt in a drop-in workshop format, adding and replacing display units. The result is an interactive textile display that changes over times based on participant contributions.

“Patchwork” is on exhibition in LA at Siggraph 2015, an annual interdisciplinary educational conference featuring the latest computer graphics and interactive techniques.
