MFA Alum Lilian Kreutzberger Awarded “Royal Award for Painting 2015” in Netherlands

The Royal Award is annually presented to encourage talented young painters active in the Netherlands. The Award was instituted in 1871 by H.M. King William III. After King William III it was continued by Queen Emma, Queen Wilhelmina, Queen Juliana and Queen Beatrix. They turned this into a true royal tradition. King Willem-Alexander continued this tradition by presenting the Royal Award 2015 on the 9th October in the Royal Palace Amsterdam.Mohamed Aarab, Cian-Yu Bai, Kim David Bots, Tessa Chaplin, Sidyon Cucaro, Femke Dekkers, Anne Forest, Paul de Jong, Jaap Kamsma, Mirthe Kl¨ck, Rabi Koria, Ruben Kragt, Lilian Kreutzberger, Joost Krijnen, Lennart Lahuis, Harry Markusse, Janine van Oene, Tanja Ritterbex, Erik-Jan van der Schuur, Jessica Skowroneck, Maarten van Soest, Eva Spierenburg, Jouni Toni, and Charlott Weise.

Exhibition: 10 oktober – 15 november 2015 in the Royal Palace, Amsterdam.

Jury: Gijs Frieling, Hans den Hartog Jager, Nanda Janssen, Iris Kensmil, Jan van der Ploeg, Benno Tempel (chairman) and Esther Tielemans.
