July 6th from 6-9 is the opening of Tongue Tide curated by Christina Freeman and Emireth Herrera at Flux Factory. Tongue Tide explores the multitude of ways in which artists engage with language, addressing both its tide-like ebb and flow as well as its limitations. For the exhibition Magali has created a new work, A Light Blue Desire, a compendium of idioms around the color blue in order to create a wide ranging, fluid description of the color.
July 27th Magali ‘s piece, Luna, a pigment print of the moon, for sale at the Vive Benefit at Honey Ramka. The sale of works will be donated to Buffalo’s Vive Shelter. Since 1984 the shelter has worked to assist individuals seeking asylum in the United States or Canada due to the inability to return to their homeland.
