The Artist Volunteer Center (AVC) is a nonprofit seeking artists who are interested in participating in volunteer opportunities around New York City. The AVC seeks to promote art that is inspired by volunteer action, and is currently creating partnerships with various organizations where artists can gain access to spaces and facilities in exchange for volunteer time. One such example is a partnership with Jacob Riis Neighborhood Settlement House in Long Island City, where we are offering free access to a kiln in exchange for volunteer projects on site.
