GOOD is now accepting applications to be a part of a new program: The Web Apprenticeship. We’re seeking three dynamic and ambitious individuals to be part of a team that will design, build, and launch an exciting project within a few short months. Our apprenticeships are paid, and school credit is also available. Candidates should be able to commit 20 hours per week, in our Los Angeles office, from January to May, June to August, or September to December.

POSITION TITLE: Web Apprenticeship
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

As a Web Design Apprentice, you will be responsible for the overall visual and experience design of the product your team develops.

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in design or the equivalent
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Working knowledge of grid layouts, graphic design and typography for the web
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bonus Points
• HTML/CSS coding chops

As an Engineering Apprentice, you will be heavily involved in all aspects of web development—from design, to construction, to launch. You will be asked to work on everything from the server side and database components, to front end HTML and CSS.

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or the equivalent
• Ability to program in at least one language
• Solid HTML/CSS skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Desire to learn new programming languages

Bonus Points
• Experience with Ruby, Python, or PHP
• Systems administration skills
• Experience with Amazon AWS
