Join Design Driven NYC: The monthly conference with entrepreneurs, designers & enthusiasts
Design Driven NYC is a monthly conference focused on design, with nearly 2,000 members (growing rapidly) and 400+ attendees each month. It is a free event run by FirstMark for the benefit of the tech community, bringing together entrepreneurs, designers, technologists, and enthusiasts for learning, networking, and conversation.
Design Driven covers design, UX, and product in the broadest possible sense; current and former speakers have included Mark Zeller, head of toy design at Fisher Price; Alex Blumberg, founder of Startup Podcast and Planet Money on audio design; and David Lee, Chief Creative Officer of Squarespace and the creative genius behind the Jeff Bridges Super Bowl Commercials.
Each event runs from 6 PM to 8 PM, with 4-5 expert speakers (typically head designers, founders, etc.) sharing a 15-minute tactical and educational talk. For the upcoming event — happening on Wednesday, March 18th at Tishman Auditorium at The New School @5:45pm — speakers include the head of toy design at Fisher Price, the founder of Sunrise which was acquired for >$100MM, the head of design at charity: water, the founder of Casper, and the lead designer at Yieldmo (also a former senior designer at IDEO).
