Pure+Applied is offering a Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 paid internship for a design student interested in learning exhibition and book design as well as branding.

Pure+Applied is a multidisciplinary design studio that design and builds exhibitions, permanent installations, books, and branding for many cultural organizations. See our work on www.pureandapplied.com.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented student who will work in our office. The intern will be working closely with one of Pure+Applied’s partners as well as a staff designer as your mentor.

The intern will:

– Work with the creative team to learn the fundamentals of design production, creating specifications, marking up files, releasing jobs to printers and fabricators

– Contribute to research, exploration, conceptual and visual development, and execution of design directions.

– Help prepare comps, mood boards and client presentations

Requirements:

– Currently a junior or senior undergraduate student.

– Obsessive with details and about getting things done correctly

– Have a strong passion for typography, communication, and history.

– Work well in a very team-oriented office

– Adept at Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator

Additional Information:

– Internship hours are flexible and work is on-site.

– Paid internship with hourly rate.

– Starts September 2014.
