PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN NEEDED
Company: The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Position: Summer Photography Intern (credit only)
Description: We expect a time commitment of 3 weeks in June Monday through Friday, hours 9-5, with the ability to work later if necessary. The Photo intern will assist the Photographer and the Graphic Design Manager with photographing merchandise for The Metropolitan Museum of Art Store website (www.store.metmuseum.org). Day-to-day tasks include lighting, prop and studio set-up, assist stylists, studio and equipment organization, scanning and Photoshop editing.  In addition, the intern will support senior managers within the department with other administrative duties. Students in their junior or senior year are encouraged to apply. A passion for photography and the desire to learn and develop photography skills is a must. Candidates must have a professional demeanor, be attentive to detail, and have the ability to take direction and follow through independently. Must demonstrate understanding of photography principles, and have a working knowledge of Photoshop and Lightroom. Experience with digital SLR, medium format digital backs and lighting still-life is required.
