INTERNSHIP FOR POP-REFERENCE BOOKS
For credit Spring Semester 2010

Seeking 3 – 5 talented and ambitious interns to assist in the development of a book series of simple ‘pop-reference’ that illustrate basic and unbelievable facts about topics including: time, planets, geography, food, color, measure, animals.

Description:
Work directly with Greg Foley (award winning designer of Visionaire / V Magazine / VMAN and author/illustrator of Thank You Bear) and Sarah Wilkinson (former designer of Bumble & Bumble and AIGA award winner) on this very special project.

Experience the creative and editorial process from research to design of a book series that will be presented to major publishers (Viking, Random House, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, etc.)

Schedule:
• Duration of Spring 2010 semester (Jan 27 – May 7)
• Independent research and development
• Weekly individual and group reviews

Requirements:
• Enthusiasm and interest in information graphics
• Motivated to work independently and in a team setting
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
