UI Graphic Designer

ECCO Design, a prestigious New York City Product Design and Innovation firm, is looking to expand its UI Design Team.  Our studio is conveniently located minutes from Union Square.  The open and spacious work environment fosters a steady flow of energy and creativity, encompassing project teams and departments.

For the right candidate, this position will provide the opportunity to further cultivate your skills while working with some of the top designers in the industry.  UI Designers work directly with the Senior Design Team and have the opportunity to contribute their life experience to our unique design process.

Credentials and Experience
2-6 years of relevant professional design experience with an emphasis on device-based UI design, strong graphic design skills, interaction and web-based design, screen icon and software expertise, and an overall creative design sense.

Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, HMI Design, or a related field or Equivalent combination of education and experience

UI Graphic Designer candidates must demonstrate proficiency in:
•    Deep understanding around latest mobile platforms (iPhone, Android Phones, gaming devices etc…) visual and IA trends.
•    Adobe Creative Suite
•    Ability to combine analytical problem solving with creative artistic visualization
•    Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of modern front-end technologies & programs
Other Preferred Skill Sets:
•    Programming (Flash, Java, etc…)
•    Video editing (Maya, After Effects, etc)
•    Client communication skills (written and oral)
•    Design process management skills
•    Advanced presentation design skills
