Industry Position: interactive Project Manager

Job Description:
An award-winning film production company is looking for an Interactive Project Manager who is both a graphic designer and a web programmer.  He/she will be responsible for managing the execution of Internet-related projects from concept through development and delivery. This includes the design, layout, and coding of a website and graphic design for multiple projects. He/she will be responsible for the development, launch and maintenance of websites and web applications. Producer and Director will oversee the work but Project Manager will be the lead.
 
The designer will work from his/her office and meet with producer and director on an “as needed” basis. 

Must be the “it” team member who can do it all and with a sense of humor when it comes to anything online and on paper. The successful manager responds to project requests and makes them happen no matter the hurdles and effort involved.
 
The new hire will have the following skills:

-Strong oral and written communication skills
-A great eye for design; Understand typograpy and color
-Exceptional creativity in web design
-Strong sense of layout/composition, typography, and aesthetic coherence; ·must possess exceptional understanding of color, optimizing images, the capabilities of Web browsers across multiple platforms and the constraints involved in designing for online media
-Impeccably detail- oriented
-Excellent command of all facets of front-end web development
-Strong work ethic
-Problem-solving whiz
-Organizational skills
-Strong interpersonal and analytical skills—working independently and as part of a team
– An ability to discern when to follow strategy and when to propose fresh creative solutions
-Deep understanding of the web space, designing both form and function
-Thorough awareness of emerging web, social, and technical design trends
-Understanding of print assets (resolution/dpi, color spaces, gutter/bleed, etc) 
-Master of Photoshop, Illustrator, and the Universe
– Comprehensive knowledge of interactive/internet communications projects, site design and development
– Solid track record of successfully developing projects from start to completion
-Outstanding organizational and presentation skills 
-Ability to multi-task and process information expeditiously 
-Strong web and technical knowledge as well as computer skills
– Knowledge and experience in innovative ecommerce and mobile solutions (strong experience leading insightful ecommerce and digital marketing strategy development) and user experience best practices
– Understanding of efficient website/newsletter/advertisement layout.
– High comfort level with metrics, analytics and measurement
– Social Media experience strongly preferred
– Taking on design challenges of new environments like Facebook, iPhone, and other mobile/social platforms
– Can create Content Management Systems and other database-driven web applications.

Technical:
-Rock-solid in front-end development; Must have knowledge of CSS, HTML, Javascript, PHP and mySQL
-Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash)
– Expert knowledge of at a least one JavaScript library and what it takes to create one 
– In-depth knowledge of DOM 
– Experience with Eclipse, SVN, and QA tools 
– Adobe CS fluency, as relates to front-end development 
– Support A-grade browsers and accessibility
-Best SEO coding practices 
-PHP and SQL skills a plus
-Adobe Flash animation sensibilities and chops 
– HTML/CSS and best practices
-Implement interactivity using AJAX and various JavaScript libraries. 
-Develop HTML templates based on Photoshop files. 
-Experience developing standards-compliant code for multiple platforms and browsers. 
-Knowledge of at least one major server side scripting language. 
-Database savvy (MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server). 
-Knowledge of ActionScripting,  Ajax and asp/.net a plus
 -Able to design and edit PowerPoint and Word documents 
 -Familiar with best practices and trends for Web design, including XHTML and CSS and WordPress. QuarkXPress a plus.
– Proficient with one or more programming languages such as PHP, ASP.NET (C#), Classic ASP, or Java 
– Solid understanding and experience with OOP concepts and design patterns 
– Ability to write clean and reusable code
