Hyo Kwon and Berton Hasebe’s Core Typography class introduces students to the practice of using and designing type. Through a variety of exercises, projects and class discussions, students learn the fundamental principles of typography and develop an understanding of typography as both a system and form of expression. Class projects include: designing a modular typeface, a visual poem, a recipe, a book, and an exhibition poster.
