We are currently seeking a Graphic Design Intern to join Mesirow Financial Consulting’s Business Development department. The Business Development team works on a wide variety of projects, and utilizes different mediums including print and electronic documents, presentations, e-mails, graphics, images, banner ads, videos and web sites. This is an opportunity to build on your core competencies and add skills in other areas. Qualified candidates should be current undergraduate or graduate students. This internship requires a minimum of 15 hours per week commitment and students in return will receive an hourly rate of pay plus class credit.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a team member who can assist in:

• Creation and editing of HTML e-mails in Adobe Dreamweaver
• Page layout using Quark and InDesign (the firm is moving to (InDesign soon)
• Presentation and document design in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Image editing and scanning using Adobe Photoshop
• Graphics creation and editing in Adobe Illustrator
• Creation and editing of Adobe Acrobat PDFs

Desired Skills:

• Must be a current college student, in their junior or senior year
• Strong PC skills are required
• Application experience preferred but not required: Adobe Dreamweaver, Quark Xpress, InDesign Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash
• Strong attention to detail
• Independent worker
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Ability to demonstrate creative thought within their role
