The mission of the Grand Street Business Improvement District (BID) is to create a vibrant commercial district and improve the quality of life for the community. Its principal activities include supplemental sidewalk cleaning, graffiti removal, the promotion and marketing of the diverse local businesses and community activities in order to provide a clean, safe and inviting district, making it a great place to live, work and shop. The Grand Street BID is one of the first business improvement districts that was created in the early 1980s.
