PortfolioRedefined is a platform for online and print portfolio creation that challenges the general notion of visual documentation traditionally associated with the term portfolio. The initiative will empower students utilizing the system to present a comprehensive representation of their learning in multiple formats. The process will facilitate students in connecting learning goals with outcomes during their pre-college to post graduate experience, through reflecting on their collection of evidence.

Job description 1: PortfolioRedefined Research Assistant
Seeking a responsible student who’s able to work both independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Excellent research and writing skills. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge and experience in information mapping and graphic design are a plus. Comfortable setting and managing own time but with periodic deliverables and meetings with the faculty.

Responsibilities will include:
Survey existing portfolio platforms
Survey existing definitions and types of portfolios
Survey existing admissions requirements with regards to portfolios in peer institutions globally
Produce a critical overview and comparative analysis of the above from college admissions through graduate school

Compensation based on experience and skills, between $15-$20/hour. To start asap. International students are welcome to apply, and students who are currently abroad will be able to interview via Skype.

Job description 2: PortfolioRedefined Designer and Developer
Seeking a responsible student who’s able to work both independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of Creative Suite (particularly InDesign and plug-ins), Microsoft Office, and WordPress. Must be an excellent coder, particularly database-driven web applications. Experience developing mobile apps is a plus. Excellent at prototyping, testing, and iterating. Strong organizational skills. Comfortable setting and managing own time but with periodic deliverables and meetings with the faculty.

Responsibilities will include:
Designing, prototyping, and building a variety of portfolio platforms that include both web and print
Presenting to and testing with faculty, students, and administrators
