Position Title: Federal Work Study/Student Assistant II/ Registrar’s Office

The Registrar’s Office is looking for a student team member to assist in improving the marketing and promotion of our office.

Responsibilities will mostly be based on project work and will include the following:

  • Design training materials from the student perspective to help the University community better understand how to navigate online systems
  • Act as Registrar Office Webmaster and create, edit and update Registrar webpages
  • Research and monitor other University webpages to make sure they are also up-to-date on Registrar information
  • Create and update forms in Adobe Acrobat
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials for new in-person services office
  • May require other duties as assigned

Potential projects may include: survey development/distribution, social networking, conducting research about similar office’s marketing styles, and designing media/print materials as needed by office

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable with using and learning new technology
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Creative, critical, and mindful design and content development skills
  • Proficiency utilizing graphic design software including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of the following software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the following is also desirable:

  • HTML
  • CMS (huge plus if you’ve used this before)
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Background (or current program of study) in any or all of the following areas: graphic/communication design, marketing, writing, media, etc.
