Illustration’s own Lauren Redniss is officially a finalist for the LA Times Book Prize in the Science & Technology category. Her book, Radioactive: Marie & Pierre Curie, A Tale of Love and Fallout, explores the marriage and discoveries of the famous scientific couple. The book is a visual biography which is able to capture the “invisible forces” of love and radioactivity. Redniss was a Fellow at the Library’s Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers in 2008–09, where she worked on this book. She also currently has an exhibition at the New York Public Library.

A big hearty congratulations from AMT!
