DT Faculty Colleen Macklin joins media luminaries, including JJ Abrams, as a Director’s Fellow for the next 2 years at the MIT Media Lab. See the full list of fellows here.

Macklin’s appointment will potentially allow for collaborative opportunities between the Design and Technology program and the Media Lab, and adds to her list of recent accomplishments, including “Boss of Honor” at GaymerX, the largest convening of LGBT gamers, her inclusion in the documentary,“Gaming in Color,” which examines  issues around LGBT presence in games and game design, and the honor of “Geek of the Month” on WNYC for June via NYC Media Lab.
