PowerPoint Decks and Beyond!

Take your presentations to the next level with fun stuff like type choice, grid systems, hierarchy, flow, & narrative strategy.

Come craft your next 2-, 5-, 8-, or 30- minute presentation in this workshop that will focus both on how to organize your ideas to best communicate them and how to produce the visuals to back them up.

The primary software we will be working in is InDesign, but not prior experience is needed to participate.

SCHEDULE:
1:00 – 1:15: Introductory Presentations
1:15 – 2:15: Common Presentation Formats / Examples
2:15 – 2:45: Storytelling Techniques / Examples
2:45 – 3:00: BREAK
3:00 – 3:30: Production Workflow (InDesign)
3:30 – 4:30: Questions / Open Work Session
4:30 – 5:00: Concluding Presentations

If you have projects that you need help with (for class, thesis, personal, anything) please bring them. The instructors will do their best to help you with any issues/questions you have. The lab has computers with InDesign & PowerPoint, but feel free to bring and work off your own laptop.
