This dorkShop is essential for MFADT thesis students as they work on programming their thesis work, open to everyone and lead by Ramsey
Nasser and Kelly Nichols.

Are you still using copies of folders to save versions of your coding projects? There’s a better way! Version control is a professional method for saving and sharing versions of any code project. This is an intro level workshop aimed at getting attendees up and running with Git. Git is a free & open source, distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency.

Bring your laptops and a desire to learn.

Introduction: 1-1:15pm
Basic Concepts: 1:15 – 2:45pm
Break: 2:45 – 3:00pm
Control Your Own Project: 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Q&A: 4:30-5:00pm
