The Center for Photography at Woodstock is running a design based thinking class with Giorgio Baravalle of the award winning multidisciplinary design firm de.MO (www.de-mo.org) on January 15-17, 2011. The class, titled “Unlearn: Think”, will be a three day intensive meant for creative thinkers in all disciplines. This is a great opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate students.

The workshop description is as follows:

The world today is in constant flux. Conventions, once regarded as factual and absolute, can no longer be considered concrete and certain. To navigate this ever changing landscape, Unlearn is a three day workshop designed to help you expand your problem solving and communication strategies through design based thinking exercises, dialogue, and critique. The understanding of rules and how they shape our lives and creativity will be thoroughly explored by challenging the relationship between form and content. Unlearn will push the boundaries of each individual’s knowledge to enhance creativity. This workshop is targeted to visual thinkers, including students, educators, professionals, and visual strategists interested in the exploration of communication and image. Computers will be available on site for use.

CPW is able to offer this course to college students for 50% off the cost of the class. We will also waive the registration fee, making the three day workshop $212.50.
