Aaron Hill
Assistant Professor of Data Visualization
Aaron Hill is a Research Associate at MDRC, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that rigorously evaluates social and educational programs that serve the poor. His research at MDRC has focused on labor market retention and advancement for low-wage workers in the United States and the United Kingdom. He specializes in survey design and measurement. He also trains staff in research methods and data wrangling. Aaron is a member of the part-time faculty at The New School, where he teaches graduate courses in statistics and data visualization. He holds a master’s degree in urban policy and management.
Daniel Sauter
Associate Professor of Data Visualization
Daniel Sauter is an artist who creates interactive installations and site-specific interventions dealing with the cultural and social implications of emerging technologies. His research is driven by a curiosity about the ways in which technologies shape and transform civil liberties, urban spaces, social relationships, and the human body. Daniel is Associate Professor of New Media Arts and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts. He is the author of Rapid Android Development: Build Rich, Sensor-Based Applications with Processing (Pragmatic Programmers, ’13), and founder of the Mobile Processing Conference.
YuJune Park
Assistant Professor and Director of Communication Design
YuJune Park holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University and a BFA in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. She is the co-founder of Synoptic Office. Her work has been exhibited in Boston, New York City, Cologne, Milan, Slovenia and China. AIGA, the I.D. Annual Design Review, the 90th Annual Art Director’s Club Awards, iDN, It’s Nice That, Etapes, the Muckenthaler Cultural Center, the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana, and the Ningbo Museum of Art have recognized her work. Additionally, she has trained under and worked with several studios including 2×4, Project Projects, Graphic Thought Facility, Pentagram, and Base Design for a variety of clients including the Museum of Modern Art, Milk Studios, Frieze Art Fair, Wellesley College, and the Design Museum. YuJune has taught at Yale University and SUNY Purchase and is currently a part-time lecturer at Parsons The New School for Design.
Rit Premnath
Assistant Professor of Fine Arts
Sreshta Rit Premnath has had solo exhibitions at KANSAS, New York; Gallery SKE, Bangalore; The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis; Tony Wight Gallery, Chicago; Galerie Nordenhake, Berlin; Wave Hill, New York; Art Statements, Art|41|Basel; as well as numerous group exhibitions at venues including YBCA, San Francisco; Galerie Balice Hertling, Paris; 1A Space, Hong Kong; Thomas Erben Gallery and Friedman Benda Gallery, New York. He is the founder and co-editor of the publication Shifter and co-organizes the ongoing Project for an Archive of the Future Anterior. Rit completed his BFA at The Cleveland Institute of Art, his MFA at Bard College, and has attended the Whitney Independent Study Program, Skowhegan and Smack Mellon. He has received grants from Art Matters and the Civetella Ranieri Foundation, and was awarded the Arthur Levitt Fellowship from Williams College. Based in Brooklyn. Rit teaches at Moore College in Philadelphia.
