Competition: "Trayless Tuesdays" Poster Design for DOE

Announcing a poster design competition open exclusively to Parsons Students:

NYC public school students currently eat their lunch on polystyrene trays, which are thrown out every day and NEVER biodegrade. This amounts to 850,000 discarded per day or 153 million trays thrown out every year!

Through a Parsons partnership, the Department of Education (DOE) is starting “Trayless Tuesdays” in March to reduce the amount of polystyrene waste by 20%.  But the city needs fresh ideas to help get kids, teachers and parents on board!  The DOE plans to put the winning posters in all 1,500 >NYC public schools to raise awareness, support the initiative and promote further recycling in the cafeteria.  Click on the link for more information and to submit:
