If you missed the first Ethan Zuckerman CDT lecture, you already missed 1/3 of your opportunity to soak your brain in the presence of prestigious thinkers who are leaders in the fields of Communication Design and Technology.
DON’T MISS ELI KUSLANSKY on Friday evening November 21st at 7:00 PM in the Kellen Auditorium–66 Fifth Avenue (or 2 W. 13th).
Among Mr. Kuslansky’s Unified Field team’s vast and memorable contributions is the Ask.com interactive globe wall in the Gehry IAC building across from Chelsea Piers. Through his work at Unified Field and in collaboration with industry associations and top universities, Kuslansky is creating a network of design labs to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies, new ways of visualizing and understanding our planet, and powerful ways for communities to utilize new channels of communication.
These labs will give students and industry space and access to the next breakthroughs in digital personal fabrication, high speed computing, advanced visualizations, virtual communications, and advance material science.
In his personal work as an artist, Mr. Kuslansky is exploring 3D Light Emitting Diode arrays as a vehicle for a body of work that is focused on the power of context. This body of work will also explore new techniques for using robotics in LED fabrication and new perceptual models.
