Girls Write Now is a dynamic community of women writers on a mission: For 15 years, our award-winning programs have provided creative and academic guidance, support, and opportunities for the next generation of women writers in NYC.
Now in partnership with The New School, Girls Write Now seeks diverse, passionate, writers, digital storytellers, teachers, and leaders to join our volunteer mentor class starting fall 2013.
Select New School graduate students (and senior undergraduates) will build a one-to-one relationship with an aspiring teen writer, and together embark on a journey of creative workshops, showcases, public exhibitions, opportunities for publication, and more – all to give girls the tools to advance their writing through digital media.
We offer school accreditation through internship or class credit.
