The William Randolph Hearst Scholarship Fund was created in June of 1986. Funds from the Hearst Foundation Endowment support and encourage partnerships between Parsons and the non-profit community.
The scholarship committee will review all materials received for the William Randolph Hearst Scholarship and select winners in May 2013. Parsons will award scholarships of at least $2,000 each for as many as six students engaged in socially responsible art or design projects.
The committee will give preference to proposals that address issues related to: The Urban, Sustainability, Diversity, The Global, and Social/Personal Agency through Art/Design Practice. Financial need is also considered as a criterion.
