Berlin! Come with us to Berlin this June for an exciting experimental laboratory with students from the University of the Arts, Berlin!!
INFO SESSION on January 31 at 6pm in L1000, 10th floor of 2 West 13th
Between April and October this year, students from Parsons and the University of the Arts Berlin will collaborate
on an interdisciplinary project, a one-week workshop in Berlin and a visit to one of the most important art events, DOCUMENTA, in Kassel, Germany. The final projects will be exhibited at Parsons when students from Berlin come to NYC in October. In addition, the exhibition will be shown in Berlin, Shanghai and Paris. BFA Juniors, Seniors and MFA Students from across AMT are eligible.
The class will be taught by Anthony Aziz (Fine Arts), Nora Krug (Illustration) and Zhang Ga (Digital Technology) as an independent study, for which you will receive 1-3 academic credits. Credits can be applied to either Spring or Fall semesters.
The class begins in the second week of April and concludes in mid-October. In the project, we will be exploring where aspects of the global vs. the local and aspects of the digital vs. the hand-made collide and co-exist. Any artistic medium can be applied and used as an investigative tool in the process. A sincere interest in exploring this intersection is expected from all participants.
