Barbara deWilde and Peter Mendelsund, longtime Knopf jacket designers, delve into their oeuvre, and offer a grand tour of rejection, insecurity, resistance, obstinance, and egoism in an attempt to highlight the overall psychodrama of the approval process.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear two neurotics in pursuit of approval (approval from their bosses, approval from their design peers, approval from their parents, their children and pets; and generally speaking: approval from the passive aggressive, the color-blind, the equivocator, the nit-picker, the many who went to art school before (s)he wrote this book.
